My Opponent, Eddie Simpson
| Most political strategists would probably tell a
candidate for office, not to mention their opponent in their campaign
ads and such. And in most cases I would agree. But in this case, it's
imperative that voters of the 5th district are fully aware of the voting
record of my opponent, Lenoir city councilman Eddie Simpson. Mr. Simpson has one of the worst voting records ever when it comes to raising taxes, special interest tax breaks and unlimited development. Some years ago, he even voted to prohibit lawful gun permit holders from carrying their weapon in all city owned buildings. It's a must that voters know the voting record of someone like Mr. Simpson before they go to the polls. How an elected official votes tells you all you need to know about their political beliefs. Every election I tell folks to do the research, learn about the candidates. In this race, I'm going to try to help in that research on Mr. Simpson.
