I Have A Plan
| This little ditty popped at the crossroads over the
weekend. Apparently, my opponent, Lenoir City councilman Eddie Simpson
has a plan in the works now. Of course, the first question comes to
mind, where's he been for the last 12 years. Why do we have to wait till
September for his plan? Guess we're suppose to vote for him and his plan
to find out what's in the plan.
Personally, I think school officials and SRO officers have done a pretty good job dealing with the traffic situation given the number of students in the two schools now. With nearly 1,500 staff and students, they do great keeping the traffic moving. I'll give the voters a little more credit than Mr. Simpson does. I think most people know political pandering and grandstanding when they see it. As I said before, when you don't have to be concerned about telling the truth, you can just say anything. I do remember another campaign promise from some years ago by Mr. Simpson. Who could forget the Pothole Hotline? What's the evacuation route from your neighborhood?
