In his own words, my 5th district opponent, Lenoir City councilman Eddie Simpson, has said on more than one occasion that he is proud of where he has taken Lenoir City and wants to do the same thing to Loudon County if elected. Simpson has voted for every tax increase a city councilman can vote for. He has voted for every mass development asking to locate in the city. He's anti 2nd amendment and he has voted for millions in tax breaks for developers while raising taxes on all Lenoir city citizens. Simpson has been a disaster for Lenoir city.

Julia Hurley with her words and votes has said and shown that more residential development is what she wants. Of course, her livelihood depends on selling homes. No wonder she wants to see more and more residential development. Clearly, she has her personal interests way ahead of the interests of the residents of the 2nd district.

Developer Mark Matlock's campaign slogan is "Structured Vision For Loudon County Growth." Of course what he means is, his vision for growth and we know exactly what that is. He said it with his own mouth, roof tops, roof tops roof tops. Meaning more uncontrolled residential development. Matlock is known for building strip malls in Lenoir City. He is also know for not paying his property taxes and is currently more than $150,000.00 behind on his city and county property taxes. Matlock is also currently being sued for violation county zoning regulations. You might think that a man that claims to be a big shot developer would know the simplest zoning policies. Obviously not.

If you vote in the 6th district, do not vote for Mark Matlock. If you live in the 5th district, do not vote for Eddie Simpson. If you live in the 2nd district do not vote for Julia Hurley. Loudon County is too great a place to ever let self serving politicians like these destroy what we have.

No matter which district you live in, these three candidates intend to take Loudon County to a dark place. When it's gone, there'll be no getting it back. Please share this information with anyone you can in the 2nd, 5th and 6th districts.
