County Mayor Just for clarification, the title of County Mayor was previously known as The County Executive. If you look at County Government as a business, which it is, the Mayor would essentially be the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and the Commission would be the board of directors. The tax payers of Loudon County are the stock holders. The position of Mayor is not some high lofty position that is unapproachable by the citizens but just the opposite. The Mayor is actually just a public servant with twenty-five thousand bosses. The Mayor is essentially the County manager responsible for executing the day to day operations of County business especially the management of finances. Seeking the office of County Mayor should not be about pay scale, perks, prestige or benefits but about serving the citizens of Loudon County to the very best of your ability. If given the opportunity to serve the citizens of Loudon County as Mayor, I promise I will work harder than anyone ever has for the people of Loudon County. In choosing to seek the office of County Mayor, I will not be qualified to run again for my current Commission seat. It's all or nothing. If I fail in my bid for County Mayor, I will no longer be a member of Commission. As you can see, I am committed to the election for Mayor. |
