Arp Wins, We Lose
| You can say what you want about County Mayor, Doyle
Arp but when he says he is going to help his developer buddies, he is
true to his word. Arp announced that the county had lost the lawsuit
brought by Tellico Village developer, Wes Cooper.
You will recall, Cooper was the developer who had claimed he was being over charged for his Adequate Facility Tax, AFT and complained to Arp. Arp then ordered building inspector, Bill Cox, to change Cooper's assessment. Cox refused which ultimately led to Arp having a tantrum. Arp had already told Cooper he would take care of it. Alas, when all was said and done, Arp's buddy gets his tax break. Kind of like when the county lost the lawsuit with TRDA on building inspections.
