News Herald Arrest Report
Woman uses sister's identity at arrest
A Knoxville woman and Luttrell man are facing
multiple charges after law enforcement were called to a Lenoir City
store for shoplifting.
Lenoir City Police officers were dispatched June 20
to a retail store on U.S. Highway 321 when Jonathan King attempted
to push out a shopping cart containing items totaling $503.86. A
loss of prevention officer had attempted to stop King as he exited
the store.
King fled on foot through the parking lot.
A female who was with King was detained at the
store by Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Brad Brown. The
woman gave the name and birth date of Amber Warwick to Brown and
LCSO Deputy Scott Brewster. According to reports, the woman was
later identified as Ashley Warwick.
“Ashley Warwick had used her sister’s identity to
hide her own identity by providing officers with Amber’s
information,” Cody Fritts, LCSO deputy, wrote in a report.
“Ashley Warwick continued to use Amber’s identity through
booking at the jail and was caught when there was a discrepancy
with the Social Security number she provided to deputy jailers.”
Fritts later observed a wet, shirtless male with
muddy shorts emerge from the woods on Shaw Ferry Road. After
Fritts told the man — later identified as King — to get on the
ground, he fled through yards and woods. King later came out on
Town Creek Road and was taken into custody.
King told officers he had methamphetamine in the
center console of his vehicle. Fritts searched the Ford Ranger
and found 0.5 grams of meth in the center console. Warwick’s
makeup bag in the front seat held 17 syringes, a cotton filter
and a burnt spoon.
King had been banned from the retail store July
4, 2018, after he was caught stealing $581.31 in merchandise in
Knoxville, according to reports.
King, 34, was charged with possession of drug
paraphernalia, manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of a
Schedule II substance and burglary and held on $22,000 bond.

driver, Wilkerson, had three passengers in the car,
including Alexis Kerr. Rogers asked Wilkerson about
his driving, and Wilkerson said he was on his phone
while driving. Wilkerson “did consent to a vehicle
search that did produce hundreds of syringes and
several small baggies in (Wilkerson’s) possession,”
