Woman jailed after chasing man with knife
A Lenoir City woman is charged with aggravated
assault after residents claim she chased a man down the road with a
large knife.
Dispatched to the area of D Street and 2nd Avenue for
an armed woman, Lenoir City Police Officer Shannon Runyan spoke with
several residents who were standing in the road. Residents pointed
at the woman who claimed to be Sarah Elizabeth Hartline, born in
1985, and provided a written statement. Her name was later
determined to be Samantha Sue Skipper.
“Several witnesses listed within this report
identified her as the female with the knife chasing the victim …
down the road, and also went on to state that as he tried to leave
in a blue SUV she picked up a piece of tile and threw it through the
driver window causing the glass to break and fall to the ground,”
Runyan wrote in a report. The “knife was photographed and recovered
... in the living room floor where both defendant and victim live as
a couple.”
