Who's Stalking Who
If you haven't already read

Hurley Decision, please do before you read this one.
So when I read the previous story, No Hurley Decision, I was quite surprised to find out that Ms. Hurley's political problems are all my fault. Apparently, I used my Jedi mind tricks to make her move out of her elected district. Then on top of that, I've been stalking her online, this according to her attorney, T. Scott Jones. All this came as a shock to me. According to Esquire Jones, I feel threatened, politically, by Ms. Hurley.
This is a full admission by Esquire Jones, that Ms. Hurley has in fact moved out of her elected district and it is, in fact, a permanent move. The next county commission election isn't until 2022. So the only way she could be a threat to my seat would be if she plans to still be living in the 5th district two years from now. This should be game, set and match for DA Johnson's case. Then, according to Esquire Jones, Ms. Hurley says I'm stalking her online.
This coincides with an email I received from Ms. Hurley last week that I didn't understand. Hey Van! Here in lies the problem. I have no social media accounts, no Facebook, no Instagram, no Twitter, no Tic Tok, ding dong or bing bong etc. Only place I post is right here at vanshaver.com. Obviously she knew that and that's why she/he said I've been looking at her social media through my wife's account. That's a pretty big leap to a conclusion that I would call an outright lie. The only way anyone could make such a wild claim would be if they had been peeping in my windows and saw me actually at my wife's computer looking at Ms. Hurley's stuff. So, who's stalking who? I'm afraid Ms. Hurley is flattering herself to believe I have any interest in looking at her stuff. On a side note, one thing I've never understood about social media. If you go on these sites and post all your business for the world to see, how then can you complain about people looking at it. It's a real head scratcher. Actually, that's what got Ms. Hurley in trouble to begin with. She was the one that posted, publically, that she had bought a new house and was selling her old house with no mention of it being temporary till she got caught. Without that, no one would ever have likely known she had even moved. Not too smart I'm thinking. On a final note, I noticed that Esquire Jones didn't mention anything about Ms. Hurley not voting in the March election. Of course if she had voted in the 2nd district, she would have committed voter fraud. If she voted in the 5th district, she would have been admitting that she had moved out of her elected district. Bless his heart, you've got to give Esquire Jones credit though. It's hard to defend the indefensible. His only hope is to deflect the fact that his client moved out of her elected district, and in essence has given up her right to represent the good folks of the 2nd district. From Shakespeare's Hamlet, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.” Right Back Atcha Esquire.
