It is election time and it's fair to know what our
elected officials receive for their efforts.
Being an elected official in Lenoir City can be very lucrative. At the
same time city officials are taxing city residents mercilessly, they're
living pretty large off the tax payers and Lenoir City Utility Board,
LCUB, rate payers. Below is the pay and benefits for Lenoir City
officials then below that are the Loudon City officials.
Lenoir City officials get to double dip since the
mayor and council also serve as the LCUB board.
There are two Knox County representatives on the LCUB
board per an agreement from several years ago, There are also two board
members who represent the former Martel Utility District. Those two do
not participate in the LCUB board actions.
