What's Going On?
What is it with all these Blount County people coming
into Loudon County creating so many problems? There's failed Blount County developer, Mike Ross, that keeps turning up in Loudon County causing issues all over the place. Most recently, he's the "consultant" for Blount County businessman, Rodney Murphy. Ross flopped on Rarity Bay, Rarity Pointe, now Wind River, Rarity Ridge, and there was the huge debacle down in Loudon called Rarity Landing. That one never got off the drawing board. And of course, Ross had some involvement in the Bell West project now involved in the lawsuit between Loudon County and Lenoir City. Then there's Blount County developer, John Cook, who got mad because he couldn't get his way with a rezone so he sued the county. Ultimately, he lost badly in court after the county had to spend thousands in legal fees. And then, there's Blount County resident and butcher, Mitchell Hyde, who didn't get his way with county zoning so now he's suing the county. Now there's Blount County resident and businessman, Rodney Murphy, who wants to open a rock quarry in the city of Greenback where the majority of the city residents do not want it. The general talk around Greenback is that the Murphy Gang just wants to acquire the property, get all the approvals then sell to Vulcan Materials and turn a quick profit. So, what is it with all these Blount County people who want to come to Loudon County and cause trouble. Do they think we won't defend the residents of Loudon County? Do they all think they're just that much smarter than the folks in Loudon County or do they just not care what they do to the folks here? Here's a thought, Mike Ross, how about you stay in Blount County to ply your "consulting" genius. Why didn't Mitchell Hyde open his butcher shop in Blount County? Taxes too high? Close up shop and move your business to Blount County, they might let you dump slaughter waste on the ground. Maybe John Cook would be more comfortable building his houses in Blount County where his business is located. And Mr. Rodney Murphy, why not go open a rock Quarry in Blount County, I'm sure there are plenty of rocky spots in Blount where you can muck up your own communities. Why do you even want to move into a Loudon County community where so many people don't want you? A Message To Blount County Officials: Please Keep Your Consultants, Butchers,
Builders and Rock Diggers in Blount County, Signed Everybody |
