We Cut The Cord

After more than 40 years, we have cut the cord, meaning, we have eliminated cable TV at home. The cost of cable continued to go up to the point we were paying $175.00 per month. And all we watch is old reruns, Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith, Perry Mason, Leave It to Beaver and so on.

We now have moved to streaming TV, no additional costs of any kind. We did have to buy at least three new TV's so far, but we will recoup those costs in the first two months of no cable. Streaming isn't as simple as cable, you have to pick which platform you want to watch, but after that you're set. I've found all the shows we watch and a lot more than was ever on cable. And if you're a movie watcher, the options are unlimited. We also have the high def antennas to pick up all the local stations.

We had AT&T cable, internet and landline. We still have the AT&T fiber internet, $55.00 per month, the landline like $40 per month but the $175 per month cable is gone.

If you're like us and want to cut the cable bill off, streaming is the way to go.
