News Herald Arrest Report
Wanted man detained by LCSO after short pursuit A Loudon man is facing numerous charges after attempting to run from law enforcement and attempting to use an alias when questioned on his identity. On Tuesday, November 26, at approximately 2:41 p.m., Deputy William McCall with the Loudon County Sheriff ’s Office responded to 942 Mulberry Street to serve a civil summons. Upon arrival, McCall made contact with a female who stated that 29-yearold Bryant Aguilera was home and that she would go get him. Aguilera came to the front door of the residence, at which time McCall explained to him that he had paperwork for him from Monroe County Juvenile Court. Loudon County 911 Dispatch then informed McCall that Aguilera also had two active warrants out of Loudon County Criminal Court for Violation of Probation and was wanted out of Forsyth County, Ga., for Violation of Probation. According to the report obtained by The News-Herald, McCall asked Aguilera to step out onto the porch, but he claimed to be someone named “Martin” and stated that “Bryant Aguilera” had actually died in Chattanooga. Based on prior knowledge of Aguilera, McCall recognized him as Bryant and instructed him once again to step out of the residence. Aguilera then retreated into the house, exited through the back door and ran into a neighbor’s house. McCall immediately called for backup and attempted to get Aguilera to leave the neighbor’s house. Shortly afterward, additional officers arrived on scene and Aguilera then fled from the neighbor’s house — initiating a brief foot pursuit. Deputy McCall overheard Officer Turpin deploying his Taser, at which point he responded to the area. After a brief struggle, officers were able to gain control of Aguilera and place him into custody. Upon arrest, Aguilera was found to be carrying a large kitchen knife tucked in the back of his waistband. In addition, Officer J. Valletto recovered two pipes commonly used for smoking narcotics in Aguilera’s jacket pockets. The neighbors confirmed that Aguilera didn’t have their consent to enter their home and had previously told the suspect not to be on their property. The neighbors further stated they were asleep when Aguilera entered their home, which caused them fear upon waking up. After being checked out and cleared by EMS, Aguilera was transported to the Loudon County Jail without incident. Aguilera was charged with aggravated criminal trespassing, assault, criminal impersonation, criminal trespassing, evading arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of resisting arrest and two counts of violation of probation. He was held on $12,000 bond.
