The 5th district is the largest, most populated district in the county with well over 11,000 residents. The 5th has two commissioners, myself and Joe Morrison. Joe holds seat (A) and I hold seat (B). Joe was appointed to county commission back in December of 2022 to fill the unexpired term of long time commissioner, Harold Duff, after his death. The appointment was until the next county election which is the March 5th election.

Normally, no county commissioners would be on the March ballot. Commissioner Morrison will be the only county commissioner running in the March election. All other commissioners next election will be May of 2026.

Hopefully, this will clear up some of the confusion on this election.
