| With just over two weeks for candidates to qualify for the August
election, a few more candidates have qualified.
Robert Dishner has qualified to run for 5th district school board
seat "B". To date, only new candidates Dishner for seat "B" and Brian
Brown for seat "A" have qualified to run for the school board in the
5th.
As you can see below, other candidates have also qualified for their
respective races.
No official word yet on whether the Lenoir City judge position will
be on the ballot in August but it appears likely. There will be a Lenoir
City council meeting Monday night when the topic may be discussed.
The qualifications to run for the city judge position state that the
candidate must be an attorney licensed to practice law in the state of
Tennessee and a resident of Lenoir City and had been for at least one
year prior to the election. Not sure there's very many attorneys who
actually reside in the city.
