News Herald Arrest Report
Two charged following drunken
dispute
A
Lenoir City woman and Seymour man were arrested Thursday
after an alcohol-fueled altercation got out of hand.
Loudon County Sheriffs Office Deputy Shane Gaumer responded to a call of a domestic disturbance in Lenoir City. When he arrived, a Lenoir City Police Department unit was already present and officers had detained Caitlin Noel Trantanella, 31. Trantanella had blood covering her left arm but said it was not hers and that she had stabbed a man. Gaumer entered the residence and found Jesse Alexander Morgan, 32, who had a laceration two to three inches long on his upper right shoulder. Gaumer dressed the wound before speaking to the woman who called law enforcement. The woman said Trantanella and Morgan had been drinking all evening when they got into a argument. While the disagreement was verbal at the beginning, Trantanella eventually threw a chair into the front door, which broke the glass. The woman said Morgan then grabbed Trantanella and threw her into a bedroom door. Trantanella took a knife from the bedroom and stabbed Morgan. The woman originally tried to call 911 while inside the residence, but Trantanella took the phone from the woman, stabbed her hand and threw the phone away. The woman then ran to a neighbors home and called for help. Trantanella was charged with aggravated assault and interference with emergency call and released on $21,000 bond. Morgan was charged with two counts of domestic assault and violation of order of protection/restraining order and released on $3,000 bond. June 27
