Trooper, LCSO arrest reckless
driver
A Charleston man has been arrested after a chase by Tennessee Highway Patrol with help from the Loudon County Sheriffs Office. State Trooper Harmanjot Singh noticed a vehicle following a semi tractor-trailer too closely Oct. 23 while traveling south on Interstate 75. The vehicle did not maintain the proper lane and even remained in the left lane without moving over.

used lights and sirens at exit 81, but the driver did not
pull over and continued in the left lane.
The vehicle exited at Sugarlimb Road and continued on the wrong side of the road at 40 mph over the speed limit in a residential area. Deputies were able to use spike strips to stop the vehicle and the driver, Christopher Ryan Wheeler, 31, was taken into custody. Deputies later learned Wheelers license was suspended and that he was wanted in Robertson, Smith and Williamson counties. An open container of alcohol was found in the vehicle, according to reports. Wheeler was charged with driving on a suspended license, evading arrest, open container and reckless driving and held on $14,000 bond. Oct. 20 Mark Everett Chouinard, 49, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond. Jeffrey Damian Givens, 23, Knoxville, was charged with violation of probation and released on $10,000 bond. Keith Allen Pearcy, 22, Kingsport, was charged with weekender serving time and held without bond. Robert Ray Thompson, 52, Lenoir City, was charged with public intoxication and released on $1,000 bond. Rodriguez Alvarenga Wilson, 30, Nashville, was charged with driving on a suspended license and released on $2,000 bond. Osvaldo Navarro Zamora, 41, Nashville, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license, financial responsibility law and lights required on motor vehicle and released on $2,000 bond. Oct. 21 Robert Ray Tallent, 70, Lenoir City, was charged with domestic assault and held without bond. Carlos Ivan Joachin-De Leon, 24, Philadelphia, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of implied consent and released on $1,000 bond. Jason Daniel McIntosh, 35, homeless, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.

Howard Wayne Brunson, 55, Maryville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession/casual exchange and held on $4,000 bond. Wendy Deanne Cummings, 48, Sweetwater, was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and released on $20,000 bond.
