Trio jailed following chase by
deputy
Three
individuals were arrested and charged with various drug
violations March 15 following a brief car chase.
Loudon County Sheriffs Office Deputy Kamron Kelley received reports of a reckless driver turning off Interstate 75 and found the vehicle at Highway 72 and Queener Road. As he pulled up, the driver began to accelerate. Kelley turned on his lights and siren, but the driver increased his speed. The deputy saw a baggie with a green leafy substance, later identified as 16.8 grams of marijuana, tossed from the drivers window, while a needle was thrown from the passengers window.
Kelley stopped the
vehicle on Holt Drive and found three individuals in the
car. Jeremiah William Downs, 45, Powell, was the driver,
while Ashley Nicole Plemons, 33, Lenoir City, was in the
front passenger seat and Michael Andrew Coffman, 35,
Loudon, was in the back seat.
After searching
the vehicle, Kelly found .9 grams of methamphetamine on
Downs, a clear baggie with residue and a loaded needle
on Plemons and .1 grams of fentanyl on Coffman. All
three were taken into custody and transported to Loudon
County Jail.
Downs was charged
with evading arrest, manufacture, sell, delivery, resale
of a Schedule III substance, manufacturing, delivery,
sale or possession of meth, possession of drug
paraphernalia and tampering/fabricating with evidence
and held on $45,000 bond.
Plemons was
charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and
tampering/fabricating with evidence and held on $6,000
bond.
Coffman was
charged with manufacture, sell, delivery, resale of a
Schedule II substance and held on $15,000 bond.

Overstreet Arden, 40, Loudon, was charged with capias-general
sessions and released on $1,000 bond.

Cornett, 31, Knoxville, was charged with driving under
the influence, two counts of reckless endangerment and
violation of implied consent and released on $9,000
bond.

Cox, 23, Sweetwater, was charged with driving on a
revoked license, possession of drug paraphernalia and
simple possession/casual exchange and released on $3,000
bond.
Israel Martinez
Gonzales, 32, Lenoir City, was charged with assault and
criminal trespass and released on $3,000 bond.

Johnson, 31, Lenoir City, was charged with contempt
of court or failure to appear and public
intoxication and released on $1,000 bond.

Lowe, 54, LaFollette, was charged with
manufacturing, delivery, sale or possession of meth,
possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of
simple possession/casual exchange and
tampering/fabricating with evidence and held on
$21,000 bond.

Neil, 40, Lenoir City, was charged with public
intoxication and released on $1,000 bond.

Elizabeth Rector, 20, LaFollette, was charged with
manufacturing, delivery, sale or possession of meth,
possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of
simple possession/casual exchange and held on
$29,000 bond.

Rojas-Ramirez, 26, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving under the influence, failure to show proof
of insurance, license required, open container and
violation of implied consent and released on $1,500
bond.

domestic assault and released on $1,500 bond.
