News Herald Arrest Report
Traffic stop results in double
arrest
Two
Knoxville residents were arrested Monday morning in Loudon
County after a traffic stop uncovered drugs.
Loudon County Sheriffs Deputy Nicholas Crawford stopped a vehicle early in the morning because he noticed a brake light was out. As he talked with the driver, Jonathan Eugene Rolen, 48, and passenger, Jama Michelle Wagher, 50, Crawford learned Rolen had a suspended license with multiple failures to appear. Crawford decided to take Rolen into custody. When searching Rolen, Crawford found a cut straw with residue, which Rolen admitted using for Oxycodone pills. He told the depty there were pills located beside the drivers seat of the vehicle, which Crawford retrieved, and that he did not have a prescription for them.
Crawford then went
over to the passengers side of the car to speak with
Wagher and saw her stuff a plastic bag inside a chicken
nuggets box. Crawford asked if she had any narcotics on
her, which she denied, and then asked her to exit the
vehicle.
The deputy retrieved the chicken nuggets box and found a tool pouch inside with a methamphetamine pipe and small baggie containing a crystal substance believed to be meth. Crawford also found a cut straw with residue inside Waghers purse. Rolen was charged with simple possession/casual exchange, possession of drug paraphernalia, financial responsibility law, driving on revoked license and lights required on motor vehicle and held without bond.
