Tracy's Last Meeting
| At last Monday's county commission meeting, long time
county finance director, Tracy Blair, addressed the commission for the
last time as the director. Several months ago, Ms. Blair announced her
retirement, March 31 will be her last day of full time service. She has
agreed to help, on a limited basis, for a time to help with the
transition of the new finance director. Tracy has been the finance
director for more than 18 years. In those years, under her financial leadership, we have seen our general fund balance grow from one million dollars to more than twelve million dollars. Ms Blair deserves the lion's share of that success. She also helped the county achieve five consecutive clean state audits. Tracy will be sorely missed but the new finance director, Erin Rice, who has worked with Tracy for many years, is well equipped to take on the job. I want to personally thank Ms. Blair for her incredible dedication and service not only the county commission but to all of Loudon County. She has been a selfless servant. Thank You Tracy Blair! |
