| A little more than 3 years ago, Lenoir City council
approved a new high density development at the intersection of Hwy 70
and Hwy 321 known as Villas at 321, a Chattooga development company. The
new development will be 166 single family rental homes. The ground work
has been ongoing for about a year. Last month, construction on the homes
began. See above. Note the size and closeness of the units. Lenoir City officials have adopted zoning policies that virtually allow any type of high density, residential developments, anywhere in the city and now everyone is paying a high price for their irresponsible zoning policies. There are some who have been critical about my reporting on Lenoir City's disastrous development policies and question the accuracy of that reporting. Thus far, I have have reported accurately on every proposed development. Lenoir City mayor, Tony Aikens and his obedient council have made a grade A mess of Lenoir City.
