Total Disaster 11,
180 More
In Lenoir City mayor Tony Aikens
and the city council's ongoing quest to annihilate the city, the Lenoir
City Planning Commission will consider adding another 180 "town homes"
on the old A. J. Bell property, beside the Lenoir City Sports Complex.
The property is now owned by Turner Development who paid $868,800.00 for
the 50 acres last October. The property had previously been rezoned to
R-3, high density, earlier last year. These are the same folks who built
the mess called Harper Village and based on the planning agenda, they
apparently plan to do the same or similar here. Aside from asking for the 180 approval, they are also asking for a variance on lot size, making them even smaller, and having zero lot lines. That means the buildings are attached to each other. Is there nothing the city would ever turn down when it comes to residential development? Apparently not. |
