To Anonymous
Hardly a week goes by that I
don't receive an anonymous email, phone call or a letter in the mail
from someone who wants me to be aware of a situation somewhere in the
county they're disturbed by. Many times I can tell that the person is
sincerely bothered by whatever the issue might be. I'm sure some contact
me because I'm on county commission and some because of my website.
Problem is, I can't do much with an anonymous communication. I can go ask questions but if a subject denies or gives a different explanation, there's not much more I can do. If someone knows something nefarious going on and they have the information and facts to back up their accusations, then they should be fine with putting their name to their accusations. Otherwise, the information is nothing more than rumor and innuendo. I will never report anything that's not totally fact based and substantiated. |
