Let me state clearly, I did not defeat Eddie Simpson, the voters of the 5th district defeated Eddie Simpson, overwhelmingly. Mr. Simpson had a message and a platform, I had a message and a platform. Obviously, the voters preferred my position over his. This election was absolutely a referendum on gross over development

The message you sent Tuesday is, you want to control mass overdevelopment and preserve our communities. I hear you loud and clear. The mandate is there and you can rest assured I will continue to represent your views on county commission.  

On a side note, Sarah and I spent all day yesterday picking up signs. I think we got them all, but if you were to see one of mine somewhere, If you'll let me know, I'll pick it up.
