Teen jailed on domestic assault charge

A Lenoir City teenager is facing a domestic assault charge after he allegedly assaulted a man and woman late last month.

Responding to a call Oct. 29 in the 400 block of Granada Drive for a possible domestic dispute, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chris Jenkins talked with a couple who gave statements that Corey A. Santodonato, 19, came home and said he had been fired from his job. The man and woman told Santodonato that he needed to get another job, which is when Santodonato became angry.

“(The woman) stated that Corey threatened to kill her and ‘cut off her head’,” Jenkins wrote in his report. “(The man) stated that Corey made punching and kicking motions toward him and (the woman). (The man) also stated that Corey did get in his face and put his finger in his face.”

Jenkins stopped Santodonato on Nov. 19 when the deputy saw the teen driving a red Toyota Solara in the 400 block of Granada Drive. After speaking to the man and woman, it was determined Santodonato came back to the residence Nov. 2. Santodonato was taken into custody.

Santodonato was charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and held on $1,500 bond.
