Suspect in custody after stabbing incident in Loudon

LOUDON COUNTY (WATE) — The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office and Loudon Police Department took two males into custody after a stabbing.

On Thursday morning, a viewer shared photos with 6 News of a fire truck and police vehicles near the 6600 block of Highway 11. LCSO confirmed that this was related to a stabbing incident in Loudon.

One person received non-life-threatening puncture wounds and was taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle, said an LPD spokesperson.
 
Two people were located at the scene, including a suspect who tried to run from the scene, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. Both were taken into police custody and are being detained while LPD completes their investigation.
 
According to the sheriff’s office, there is no threat to the public.
