Struck gas line causes Greenback residents to evacuate

 

GREENBACK (WATE) – Greenback residents were evacuated after a gas line was struck Monday.
 

The Greenback Fire Department says a road crew hit a gas line in the 2900 block of Highway 95 near Stone Drive, causing a hole in a four-inch gas main.
 

Residents living within a half-mile area were asked to evacuate. The area was declared clear for residents just after noon. No injuries were reported.
