Stall stand-off results in Loudon man facing several charges STAFF REPORTS After trying to flush drugs down a toilet in a local fast-food restaurant, a Loudon man now is being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia among other charges. On Thursday, May 9, at around noon, an Asset Protection Specialist at a local retail store called in a shoplifting complaint. The specialist had already had a female detained while a male suspect fled on foot. According to the arrest report, detailed information was given about his appearance to law enforcement. It was believed that the male might be carrying a firearm due to his actions as he ran. The female detained was asked by Officer Jason Arden and she confirmed that the male suspect was 20-year-old Jeremiah Logan Noah of Loudon and was armed with a pistol. Officer Taylor Eldridge with the Lenoir City Police Office then found the suspect hiding in the restroom at a Lenoir City fast-food restaurant. The arrest report stated that Investigator Jonathan Yates and Eldridge then gave loud verbal commands to surrender as he remained concealed in the stall. According to the report, the suspect didn’t adhere to the orders and officers heard the toilet flush. Eldridge maneuvered to the front door of the stall and commanded him out; he exited with his hands up and then put them down. Noah was then grabbed by both officers and handcuffed. According to the report, they found the pistol (Glock 27.40 cal PNR738) on the toilet seat and a gallon bag of marijuana (20.93 grams), pipes and blunt wrappers in the toilet where he was attempting to flush the evidence. Due to the suspect being 20 years old, it is illegal for him to possess a pistol. Further investigation revealed that the serial number was run and the Glock was entered in NCIC as stolen out of Roane County, Tenn., and held a $350 value. The defendant also had a clear bag of off-colored powder/pills in his pocket he was trying to remove. He spontaneously uttered that it was ecstasy (2.04 grams), according to the police report.
