In 2022, there will be a sheriff's election. In this election, I will be a single issue voter. I will vote for which ever candidate pledges to do something about the idiot bicycle riders.

This is an every day, all day issue in the upper end of Loudon County. What they do is just as illegal as speeding, reckless driving or any other moving violation. They're impeding traffic, they're not riding just two abreast and are certainly not staying as close to the white line as possible, as required by law. Why is it these law breakers are not held accountable?

I'm not asking that they be imprisoned or beheaded, even though that would be great, I'm just asking that the same laws that all other motorists are held to, be applied to this bunch. A few $250 tickets for breaking state law might discourage them from turning Loudon County roads into their personal bike trails. This is pure ignorance.

Sheriff candidates better listen. Those of us on the upper end are sick and tired of this. We want it stopped.
