Sign Wars
Like it or not, I think we've all gotten accustom to
seeing lots of political campaign signs during election time. But the
signs that have popped up on the side of Simpson Road across from First
Baptist Church are a little different than we usually see. The first sign was posted by former road superintendent and now candidate for road superintendent Sean Giles over the weekend. According to Giles sign, if elected he will widen Simpson Road if. The second sign was posted by incumbent road superintendent seeking re-election, Eddie Simpson, shortly there after. According to Simpson's sign, widening of Simpson Road has been underway for two years. The good news here is, no matter the outcome of the election, it appears Simpson Road will get widened The even better news is, in less than two weeks the election will be over and ALL the political signs will be gone. |
