Sign, Sign, Everywhere A Sign
| If you've driven on some of the rural roads in Loudon
County in the last week or so, you may have noticed a LOT of new road
signs. The new signs are a product of a federal through the state
highway grant. All the locations and work were chosen and placed by the
Tennessee Department of Transportation, TDOT. No local money was used. No doubt, many of the signs will be helpful and make the roads safer, especially at night. But a few may have been inadvertently placed in bad locations causing some sight issues or other problems. If you feel a particular sign might cause a problem, contact the Loudon County Highway Department for help. Loudon County Highway Superintendent, Billy Pickle, will work with you to correct the issue. |
