Several arrested, cited in Blount County prostitution
bust MARYVILLE (WATE) – A joint operation between law enforcement agencies in Blount County, the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force and TBI resulted in several arrests and several citations for prostitution and marijuana. The Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Maryville Police Department and Alcoa Police Department joined with the two other agencies in an operation in which six people were charged or cited with prostitution and another was cited for possession of marijuana. The daylong investigation was held at a local hotel. Brenda Wilborn, 47, of Lenoir City; Jessica Wolfe, 21, of Kingston; Maggie Bledsoe, 24, of Knoxville; and Amanda Nikas, 25, of Knoxville; were all charged with prostitution near a church or school. Wolfe was also cited for possession of marijuana. James Wiggins, 30, of Lenoir City, was charged with patronizing prostitution. All five are being held in the Blount County Jail on $750 bond each. Christopher Baker, 29, was cited for patronizing prostitution. Carl Jonathan Eugene Bray, 20, of Knoxville, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Three others were detained for a short time but released with no charges or citations. |
