The second notice is from the Loudon County School Board announcing that their Board Planning Session will be held at the Technology Center in Loudon County.

One has to wonder, why does the Lenoir City school board, every year, need to go out of town for their retreat and spend thousands of dollars needlessly when they could do like the Loudon County school board and stay local and save a lot of money? I'm sure it'll be a fun trip for board members, staff and families, but just a year ago, the city school board was pushing a sales tax increase because they were in such need of more money. Guess they overcame that deficit.
