Scholarship Opportunity

I am excited to announce the 1st Annual Councilman Todd Kennedy Good Neighbor Scholarship. LCHS seniors may read more about this opportunity and apply for the scholarship via the "LCHS Local Scholarships" link distributed by the LCHS Counseling Dept.

As an LCHS Class of '97 graduate, I congratulate all 2024 seniors!

I had decided, before I was elected, that I was going to give back at least half of whatever money I earned from public service to community needs. So far I have contributed to various nonprofits, sports teams, arts programs, missions efforts, and even other local scholarship funds.

I wanted my scholarship to be focused on community involvement. Seniors who are planning to continue their education after graduating LCHS, and who have a track record of community engagement can apply for the scholarship. LCHS Counseling Dept. Staff will be collecting and reviewing all applications, and will be selecting the recipient.

This is a scholarship that I will continue to offer as long as I have the privilege of serving the fine folks of Lenoir City as a councilman.
