Roads Closed
| Well, not today but this Saturday they will be. This
is the Saturday when the annual Run LOCO marathon races are held. Roads
from Loudon to Lenoir City and all of Hotchkiss Valley and others will
be effected with lanes blocked for several hours Saturday morning. It never ceases to amaze me how some folks are so uncaring about disrupting and inconveniencing so many people so unnecessarily. This road race could easily be held in areas and on roads that would not cause any closures or disruptions to anyone. They could run to from Lenoir City to Maryville and back with no road closures. They could run Tellico Parkway to Vonore with no issues. Heck, they could run the interstate to Chattanooga and back. All these roads have large shoulders that could accommodate their race. But for some reason they are bent on disrupting traffic for thousands of people. Those of you that will be impacted by the road closures may want to make plans.
