Rezone Denied
| Todd Claiborne had requested a rezone of a parcel of
property he owns in Hotchkiss Valley. He stated that he planned to use
the 16 acre parcel of property for a truck repair garage.
The Loudon County Planning Commission unanimously denied the rezone request citing the roads, increased traffic and the fact that all the property in the area is agricultural. The request will still go before the Loudon County Commission on June 5th. The rezone request will also be denied by the county commission. This area is not suitable for commercial development. I know myself and my fellow 5th district commissioner, Joe Morrison will oppose the rezone. |
