The more things change, the more they stay the same? For at least three years now, the Lenoir City school board, and entourage, have held their board retreats at 2540 Veterans Blvd., Pigeon Forge. According to Google maps and every other source, that address comes back to a filling station/Subway. As stated in the past, there's no chance they're meeting in a Subway. But why do they keep putting the wrong address on the public notice. I know a lot of folks have tried to crack the code on where they are really retreating to.

Coincidently, the Dollywood Dream Resort is just across the road from the gas station. Dollywood Dream Resort is 2525 Dream More Way. It's just kind of weird that they keep using the gas station address.

I've never understood why small town, local, elected officials feel they have to leave town to discuss local issues. Think it's just to let the tax payers foot the bill for a free trip? The Loudon County School Board hold their planning sessions at the vocational school on Harrison Road. I dare say they accomplished as much or more than the city school board will on their Pigeon Forge retreat. I'm sure the county board would allow the city board to use the vocational school. Or why not the Venue? Why the need to go out of town?

Let's be honest, they want the free trip and at the same time, there's not likely to be any locals attend the out of town meeting.

But what the heck, the city school board has lots of money. Why not throw a party in Pigeon Forge?
