Report: SWAT search results in two Greenback arrests

FROM STAFF REPORTS

Investigators with the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office reportedly entered a residence with a search warrant in Greenback, Tenn., last Monday, Feb. 10.

Loudon County SWAT members made their way into the home where they were met by two suspects — Jason Hawk and William Riden. Both residents were detained as officers began their initial sweep of the residence.

In a room adjacent to what was assumed to be the bedroom of Mr. Hawk, authorities reportedly came upon several bags and containers assumed to be used for storage. Upon opening the bag, they discovered a number of illicit materials including 25.5 grams of an orange, powdery substance; 15.1 grams of a teal powdery substance; 1.3 grams of a clear and crystal substance; and 10 assorted blue pills.

When the powdery substances were tested with TruNarc, they were identified as “Butyryl Fentanyl,” and the clear substance tested positive for methamphetamine. The pills were taken to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and are awaiting test results, according to police reports.

Mr. Riden’s room was also searched — upon which officers reportedly found additional paraphernalia. Syringes, burned tinfoil and baggies with drug residue were all located and testing showed evidence of drug use in every room of the house.

Both individuals were transported to Loudon County Jail on charges of manufacture, sell, delivery of Schedule II drugs and meth.

The property was later confirmed to be owned by Riden, with investigators deducing that the residence was a hub for the distribution of these controlled substances. … Riden was also charged with maintaining a dwelling where drugs are used and sold.

OFFICERS HANDLE DOMESTIC DISPUTE

Late Monday evening, Feb. 10, Loudon County officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Piney Hills Trailer Park — though a specific lot number couldn’t be identified as the caller on the dispatch proved to be intoxicated, according to reports.

After an extensive search, officers eventually arrived at the lot where the call originated and knocked on the door, which was answered by a roommate.

Initially, the roommate claimed to not have any idea of an altercation. The roommate then walked into the back bedroom and, after several minutes of failing to make contact with the couple located inside, a man later identified as Omar Jimenez Perez entered the living room.

Officers immediately noticed the blood on the pants of Perez, as well as on his nose. When prompted to explain, he said that nothing had happened.

Officers then spoke with his girlfriend, who by this time had also emerged from the back bedroom. When she was asked, she told officers that the couple had been fighting.

LCSO officers investigated further and ultimately determined that Perez was the instigator of the conflict and transported him to Loudon County Jail.
