Horse Haven moves to Lenoir City, launches 20th year fundraising campaign

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - Tennessee's oldest and largest equine welfare organization has moved into their new Loudon County home after nearly a decade in West Knox County.

Horse Haven of Tennessee announced Tuesday the organization has moved into a sprawling, new location in Lenoir City after nine years in West Knox County with 50 stables to house horses, donkeys and mules. Horse Haven Development Director Bethany Schwarz said in July the organization was, "looking for about 30 acres, about 20 stalls and an area for 10 paddocks. 

Horse Haven has launched a #GivingTuesday campaign as they prepare the rest of the property
for Horse Haven’s 20th year of rescue with a goal of $71,000. The money will fund the equipping of each area of the new property and the care for the horses that pass through Horse Haven's gates in 2019
