PUD's Out, Budget Passed

A couple of big issues were dealt with at Monday's county commission meeting.

Planned Unit Developments, PUD's, were finally eliminated from the county zoning policies. Going forward, the highest residential zoning class will be R-1. That means, a maximum two homes per acre with standard setbacks. This will go a long way in curbing over development county.

The commission also passed the 2022-2023 operating budget. We also set the property tax rate at $1.52 per $100 value. We now have the second lowest property tax rate in the state.
