KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A grocery store chain has announced plans to expand into Farragut.

On Monday, Publix announced it had executed a lease for a new store at the intersection of Kingston Pike and Watt Road in Farragut.

The store, called Publix at Westerly Commons, will be 48,000 square feet.

The company did not say when the new location is expected to open.

It will be the fourth Publix location in Knox County, joining those in Maryville, Sevierville, and Pigeon Forge.
