Powell teen caught with pot at Melton Hill
Seeing a driver in the Melton Hill Dam Campground
area not wearing a seat belt, Loudon County Sheriffs Office Cpl.
Chris Jenkins conducted a traffic stop Sunday at the boat ramp and
identified front seat passenger Cody Allen Harper and four others.
Jenkins noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming
from the vehicle and asked the vehicles owner for consent to
search. After she agreed, K9 Deja identified a positive indication
of illegal narcotics in the vehicle.
Jenkins found in the floor on the front passenger
side a black Nike bag with a green leafy substance believed to be
marijuana, an orange pipe, digital scales and several small empty
baggies.
In the passenger side front door was also a
large amount of empty baggies, Jenkins wrote in the report.
The marijuana was weighed at approximately 24.86 grams. Cody
Allen Harper claimed ownership of the black bag and contents.
Harper was placed under arrest and taken to jail.
Harper, 19, Powell, was charged with manufacture,
sell, delivery or resale of a Schedule VI substance and
possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $12,000 bond.

Jeremy Justin Bennett, 25, Lenoir City, was
charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
Deborah Janeanne Chastain, 47, Lenoir City, was
charged with manufacture, sell, delivery or resale of a Schedule
II substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on
$17,000 bond.
David Harmon Leffew, 43, Lenoir City, was
charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and released on $1,000
bond.
John Martin Macuga, 30, Loudon, was charged
with violation of probation and held on $25,000 bond.
Jason Dewayne McCulloch, 39, Sweetwater, was
charged with manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of a
Schedule II substance and simple possession/casual exchange and
released on $12,000 bond.
Danny Ray Norris, 27, Loudon, was charged with
a Sevier County warrant and released without bond.
Ray Landon Swain, 56, Lenoir City, was charged
with driving without a valid license and released without bond.
Douglas Roger Wilson, 32, Lenoir City, was
charged with two counts of simple possession/casual exchange and
released on $2,000 bond.

Jimmie Lynn Arden, 30, Lenoir City, was charged
with assault and held on $2,000 bond.
Lindsay Michelle Gray, 20, Lenoir City, was
charged with two counts of failure to appear, aggravated cruelty
to animals and contraband in a penal institution and held on
$20,000 bond.
Kerstin Renea Lively, 23, Oliver Springs, was
charged with simple possession/casual exchange and held on
$3,000 bond.
Donald Edward McCoy, 41, Knoxville, was charged
with criminal trespass and released on $1,000 bond.
Teresa Dani Penland-Mundal, 44, Knoxville, was
charged with theft of property and released on $10,000 bond.
Richard Warren Shepherd, 40, Lenoir City, was
charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license, evading
arrest, resisting arrest, theft of property and possession of
stolen property and held on $27,000 bond.
Jason Shane Teffeteller, 42, Maryville, was
charged with assisting other agency and released without bond.
Brandy Michelle Willis, 33, Loudon, was charged
with theft of property and held on $10,000 bond.

William Charles Brown, 25, Oak Ridge, was
charged with failure to appear and violation of probation and
held on $100,000 bond.
Brooke Howey, 21, Greenback, was charged with
manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of a Schedule II
substance, simple possession/casual exchange and possession of
drug paraphernalia and released on $12,000 bond.
Sarah Jane Lynn, 27, Sweetwater, was charged
with driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on
$1,000 bond.
Shawn Michael Moore, 29, Lenoir City, was
charged with public intoxication and violation of probation and
held without bond.

Keri Susette Acuff, 45, Knoxville, was charged
with driving on a revoked/suspended license, simple
possession/casual exchange and possession of drug paraphernalia
and held without bond.
Charles Christopher Durance, 18, Greenback, was
charged with burglary and two counts of theft of property and
held without bond.
Marla Jane Gibson, 30, Maryville, was charged
with general sessions court capias and held without bond.
Sarah Rebecca Gibson, 30, Lenoir City, was
charged with aggravated assault and held without bond.
Responding to the report of a woman making threats, LCSO Deputy
Craig Brewer met Deputy Mark Tinnel already on scene who said
the woman ran toward another building on the property on Duncan
Road. When I saw the female I told her to come over to me,
Brewer wrote in the report. She then ran at me with a long
stick in a fashion as to try to stab me. The stick then hit me
in the head and left arm. Gibson was taken to the ground and
placed under arrest.
Arrant Johnson Jr., 49, Lenoir City, was
charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and held without bond.
Patty Ann Letner, 50, Athens, was charged with
failure to appear and held without bond.
Edward W. Metheny, 33, Kingston, was charged
with driving under the influence and held without bond.

charged with manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of a
Schedule II substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and
held on $27,000 bond.
David Franklin Thomas, 25, Loudon, was charged
with violation of probation and failure to appear-general
sessions and held without bond.
Colin Ross Wittner, 32, Knoxville, was charged
with simple possession/casual exchange, driving under the
influence, open container, driving on a revoked/suspended
license and possession of a handgun while under the influence
and released on $9,000 bond.
Maren Laurel Brown, 41, Kingston, was charged
with tampering with evidence and criminal court capias and held
on $60,000 bond.
Michael Benjamin Carta, 40, Knoxville, was
charged with fraud and released on $5,000 bond.
Joshua Allan Davis, 33, Lenoir City, was
charged with simple possession/casual exchange and released
on $1,000 bond.

June 11
Donna Elaine Hartline, 62, Lenoir City,
was charged with driving under the influence and
released on $1,000 bond. Dispatched for a reckless
driver on Old Highway 95 at Harrison Road, Lenoir City
Police Officer Jeremy Dishner was told a black car had
turned into Harrison Avenue near Lenoir City
Intermediate/Middle School. Dishner arrived on the scene
and followed a black Volvo, which struck the concrete
highway divider at U.S. Highway 321 at Market Drive
causing the front left tire to become flat. While
talking with Dishner, Hartline allegedly admitted to
drinking several glasses of wine.
Rebecca Elizabeth Mincey, 30, Loudon,
was charged with simple possession/casual exchange and
held on $1,000 bond.
