Philadelphia man chokes, drags
woman
A
Philadelphia man was arrested Thursday after attempting to
choke a local woman.
Loudon
County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Skylar Mills responded March
16 to a home on Sunnyside Road where he met a woman in
distress. She told Mills that Noah Charles Simpson, 23, who
lives in the home, had physically assaulted her earlier in
the day.
The
woman said Simpson came home smelling like marijuana. She
said she was trying to take care of Simpson’s children when
he became “displeased” with how she was talking to them.
Simpson told the woman he had dreamed about killing her when
he was young, Mills wrote in a report.
The woman said
Simpson got in her face and began to yell like a “drill
sergeant.” The woman was in fear of her life and tried
to grab her phone to record Simpson’s behavior,
according to a report.
Simpson grabbed
the woman’s arms and took her to the ground. He then put
his hands around the woman’s neck, dragged her into the
bedroom and began to strangle her. Simpson eventually
released the woman and went outside, and the woman
locked the doors and called the law enforcement.
The woman said
she was afraid one of Simpson’s “minions” would come
“shoot up the house.” She said Simpson had been hanging
out with some “very bad kids,” Mills wrote in a report.
Simpson was
found later Thursday and arrested on warrants including
kidnapping and assault charges. He was charged with
domestic assault-felony and kidnapping and released on
$15,000 bond.
Man
drives car into house
A
Loudon man was arrested Saturday for vandalism and
domestic assault after driving his truck into the side
of a house.
LCSO Deputy Austin
Parton responded to a call of an unwanted guest at a
home on Corinth Road. While on his way to the scene,
dispatch told Parton the suspect, Clifford Frank Green,
51, was armed with a gun.
Parton met Green,
who was sitting in a camper. Parton asked Green to step
out of the camper, but he refused. Parton removed Green
from the camper and detained him while he gathered
information about the day’s events, according to a
report.
Parton spoke to
the homeowner and a witness who told Parton that Green
came inside the house earlier in the morning and grabbed
the homeowner’s wrist. The homeowner told Green to let
go. Parton observed bruising on the homeowner’s wrist
consistent with the story.
The homeowner
and witness told Parton that Green was in his truck
and drove it up to the porch and rammed it into the
side of the house. Parton could see tire marks
leading up to the porch and a dented rail barrel.
The homeowner told Parton he wanted Green arrested.
Green was
charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and
vandalism and held on $2,000 bond.
