A Philadelphia man was arrested in Knoxville this past week on charges of trying to have sex with a 13-year-old girl, authorities said.

After posting a $25,000 bond, 26-year-old Justin Kyle Phelps was arrested again Wednesday on charges of perjury and a sex offender registry form violation, according to a Knoxville News Sentinel article.

Each charge carries a $10,000 bond.

Police had previously charged Phelps with soliciting a minor, aggravated statutory rape and a sex offender registry violation. The investigation continues as authorities believe there may be more victims in the case, published reports said.

Phelps was widely reported as being from Monroe County, but the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Sex Offender Registry shows his last address as being in Loudon County on Loudon Road just across the Monroe County line. The TBI shows him as being required to report to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for sex offender registration, however.
