| One more candidate has qualified to seek office in
the May election. Local builder, Mark Matlock,
has qualified to seek the 6th district commission seat. This is the seat
vacated by current 6th commissioner, Steve Harrelson, who is running for
the county mayor position.
Last month, 6th district resident Adam Waller,
qualified to seek the 6th seat. Another 6th resident, Bill Campbell, has
picked up a petition for that seat but hasn't yet returned it.
Candidates have till this Thursday, noon to qualify
for the May election.
