Petition Day
Today, 12/20, is the first day candidates for the May
2022 election may pick up qualifying petitions to run for office. There
will be 25 county offices on the ballot. Below is more information on
that election. Loudon County Republican and Democratic Primary Election May 3 (Tuesday), 2022 Offices to appear on the ballot: County Mayor County Commission All Districts & Seats (10) County Trustee General Sessions Judge, Division I & II Sheriff Circuit Court Clerk County Clerk Register of Deeds Road Superintendent Loudon County School Board: District 2, Seat A & B, District 4, District 6 District 5 Seat A, to fill unexpired term of 2 years
• First day to issue a petition- December 20, 2021 • Deadline for Highway Superintendent candidates to file with TN Highway Officials Board-Feb.3, 2022 • Deadline for Sheriff candidates to file with Tennessee P.O.S.T. Commission- February 3, 2022 • Deadline to file petition- February 17, 2022-12:00 NOON • First day to request an absentee ballot by Military or Overseas voter- January 1, 2022 • First day to request an absentee ballot –February 2, 2022 (Non-Military or Overseas voter) • Last day to request and process an absentee ballot: April 26, 2022 • Last day to register to vote- April 4, 2022 • Early voting dates- April 13-28, 2022 (will be closed on April 15, 2022, for Good Friday) |
