Blankenship Sentenced

Last week, former Greenback alderman, Robin Peeler Blankenship was sentenced to 18 months probation after pleading guilty to Wire Fraud.

Back in 2023, Blankenship, was indicted for Wire Fraud from her employer Erie Insurance. Charges included knowingly submitting 135 claims resulting in 144 payments of $132,528.72 to an account controlled by her. Ms. Blankenship had pled not guilty.

Back in September of 2024, Ms. Blankenship pled guilty in an agreement with the United States. She could have faced 20 years in prison and up to a $250,000.00 fine.

As part of the plea deal, Ms. Blankenship will be required to repay the $132,528.72 taken from the insurance company she worked for.

Sentencing was held on January 22 2025.
