| One new candidate has picked up a qualifying petition
and one has filed and qualified for the May election.
Lenoir City businessman, Marty Fugate, has picked up a
petition to run for the County Court Clerk office. Fugate makes three
candidates for that office. Lisa Bridges and Carrie Mc Kelvey have
already qualified to run for that office.
Tellico Resident, Susan Gingrich, has qualified to
challenge incumbent Henry Cullen for the 7th district county commission
seat.
This Thursday 2/15, noon, is the deadline for any
candidates to qualify for the May county primary.
