One dead in Lenoir City house fire Staff Reports news-herald.net-One person is dead after a house fire Saturday morning on Gayle Avenue in Lenoir City. Tony Brock, deputy chief of the Lenoir City Fire Department, confirmed Tuesday there was "one lady that was deceased" in the fire. "It started on Saturday morning, early Saturday morning about 1:15 a.m," Brock said. Brock would not release the identity of the victim since family is still being notified. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he said. Lenoir City Police Sgt. Lynette Ladd, who is investigating the fire, said more information should be made available by the end of the week. She said the department is still gathering reports on the incident. |
