| With the August election now past, it's time to look toward
November. Of course we all know that will be the presidential election
but there are several local elections on the ballot. Lenoir City,
Greenback and Philadelphia city elections will be on the ballot as well
as state officials. Jimmy Duncan, Jimmy Matlock and Kent Calfee. Duncan,
Matlock and Calfee all have challengers.
Below is the most recent petition activity for the city races. Anyone
wishing to seek office in any of these elections has till August 18th,
12:00 noon to file a qualifying petition.
