November Update
With the August election done,
all eyes turn to the November election. In November, Lenoir City, Loudon
and Greenback city elections will be on the ballot.
The Loudon election might be the one with the most candidates. The mayor seat and all four council seats will be on the ballot. Already, two candidates have picked up or qualified for the mayor's seat. Ten candidates have picked up or qualified for the four council seats. Several of those who just ran in the special election. In Lenoir city, half of the council, three seats are on the ballot. If people in the city are really as tired of their government, tax increases and rampant over development as they say they are, this will be the chance to make a change. Three incumbents and three challengers have already picked up or qualified for the race. The deadline to qualify for the November election is August 18, 2022, 12:00 NOON.
